CONTEST is a size-8000 reel with a minimalistic and elegant design. It is ideal for SURF CASTING, nevertheless it is a valid support tool to contend with large predators in freshwater. Its front DRAG allows for accurate and timely adjustments - adapting to all fishing conditions.
It is equipped with a PARALLEL WINDING SYSTEM which allows for perfect nylon spiral spooling, while its V-SHAPE SYSTEM enables smooth release for long and precise casting. A second REGULAR GRAPHITE spool with a greater cavity for thicker diameters is added to the usual lowcapacity spool which incorporates a thin nylon line. The bronze BRASS PINION GEAR with its 7 ball bearings + 1 stainless steel ball bearing are at the core of the CONTEST reel. All the reel components were treated specifically in order to safeguard them from corrosion.
